Often known for his captivating melodies and self-produced songs, Singer-Songwriter and music producer Ahmed Aly has been dedicated to his passion since his early teens having grown up in various places around the globe exposed him to a vast array of music genres that is well reflected in his music which can fall somewhere in the pop-rock acoustic spectrum with occasional electric guitar and synth flavors making him more of a singer-songwriter solo act.
The Cairo-born artist has been self taught guitar at the age of 14, Studied songwriting, music production at different destinations like Los Angeles College of Music, Dark horse music institute in Nashville, and took music composition classes at the Royal College of music in England. He was also vocally trained by London’s West End Musical Theatre vocal coach Natalie Andreou (Known for here roles in the musicals: Wicked and Rock of Ages)
Ahmed has an EP “Tales From Tomorrow” released in 2013 and a full-length album “Miles More to Go” released in 2015. His original songs have been reviewed and enjoyed radio airplay in Egypt, UAE, Australia and USA. His work reviews and interviews were published by Community Times Magazine, Flair, Cairoscene and Triplew.me
The song “Leaving” a duet with British-based singer Madeline Wise produced by Yak Bondy (Ema Bunton, Spice Girls) has garnered 13,000 plays on soundcloud in just one week and was shortlisted for an international songwriting competition in Nashville, TN. Ahmed was also a 4-time semi-Finalist at the ISC (International Songwriting competition) in Nashville, TN.
Recently, Ahmed has been endorsed by the Arts Council England as an exceptional talent and has become the first Egyptian artist to be endorsed by the UK’s Arts council and recognized as an international exceptional talent to come and live in the UK.
