Demerson started playing trumpet at the age of 12, and by the age of 17 was performing in bands throughout Brazil. But it was whilst playing with the air force band at the age of 19 that his passion for the saxophone began. He played with various big bands between 1996 to 2004 in nightclubs and venues.
In 2004 he moved to New Zealand and started his solo career performing at restaurants such as Diare, Safran and Mangal in Auckland.
In 2006 Demerson moved to London where he dedicated himself to saxophone exclusively. Performing in pubs and restaurants including Nicolson's Pubs (Doggett's Coat and Badge, The Horniman at Hays, The Clarence), The Black Horse and Bar 38.
Today Demerson is still playing for Nicolson's pubs increasing his venues and also plays in Lock 17 (Camden) and Brown's. Demerson is an outgoing and exuberant person and enjoys sharing his love of saxophone and music with his clients and customers. Let him entertain you!
