Hi, I'm EJGolding08

About me:

Born and raised in Coventry to a musical family, Erin's passion for music stems from an early age, after weekends spent listening to her dad's eclectic range of vinyls from George Benson and Stevie Wonder to Fleetwood Mac and Nina Simone. Singing since she could talk, Erin honed her songwriting and performance skills in her early teens, taking part in regional competition Teen Idol at the age of 14, which led on to her being mentored and coached under the Big Help Management Artist Development scheme. Moving to London in 2012, she developed her skills further as a singer songwriter; becoming a lead singer songwriter in the Roundhouse Music Collective, a member of the internationally acclaimed Roundhouse Choir, and also being coached under a 10-week intensive songwriting programme by songwriter Gerald O'Connell (Island Records). Erin's track 'Sunny Day' was also shortlisted last year for Beyoncé's songwriter, Carla Marie Williams, GIR #GetHeard initiative, which saw 30 'ones to watch' female singer songwriters get their original tracks listened to and critiqued by a stellar panel of industry leaders. Erin also has a lot of experience under her belt, performing as a backing vocalist for Reef, Jamie Cullum, Angelique Kidjo and most recently MIA as part of Meltdown at the Southbank Centre. She also features in the Rudimental ft. Ed Sheeran music video for 'Lay Your Hands'. Hailed by industry peers as a cross between Corrine Bailey Rae and a "female Benjamin Clementine", due to her distinctive gritty soul-pop vocals, Erin's tracks range from melancholic soul-searching 'neo spiritual vibes ' to lighter summery pop-soul chill. She released "Eagle" her debut EP in Autumn 2017, of which two of the tracks 'Stay For Me' and 'Silence' have so far been played on BBC Introducing numerous times. Sunny Day, Erin's debut single released in Summer 2017 has also been played on BBC Introducing several times, and has been described as being evocative of Amy Winehouse and Eliza Doolittle due to its "islandic feeling" melodic hooks and overall feel good sound. Erin has also got off to a great start in 2018; performing in the Royal Opera House production of The Return of Ulysses, as well as securing solo sets at the BBC's 'Anything Goes', the prestigious rock venue, Half Moon Pub, Putney, as well as the world famous jazz night at The Maze in Rio de Janeiro. She is also due to release her much anticipated second EP later this summer.
